Kathleen (she/her) is a Board Certified (BCTMB) Massage Therapist specializing in working with adults and youth living with cancer from diagnosis through the duration of the cancer journey. She has been a massage therapist for 15 years, and has specialized in Oncology Massage Therapy since 2011. She is licensed in Maine and New York, and has completed over 1000 hours of continuing education, over 300 of which have been related to the practice of Oncology Massage.
From 2013-2023, Kathleen worked with the Dempsey Center, a cancer support non-profit based in Lewiston Maine. She gained extensive experience adapting massage therapy for clients in a variety of hospital-based settings, including infusion centers, inpatient units, outpatient settings, and bone marrow transplant units. She also supported clients at end of life, including those in hospice care. She coordinated and then managed the oncology massage therapy, acupuncture and Reki programs at the Dempsey Center from 2015-2020.
